Digimon King is a title given to someone of extreme skill and power. Etemon calls itself the "King of Digimon"[1]. (under construction)

Digimon Adventure 3D: Digimon Grandprix![edit]
The twelve contestants compete in the Digimon Grandprix to obtain the title of "King of Digimon". Everyone except Pico Devimon wins, as they all crossed the finish line by riding on Agumon's Taiti-Special.
Digimon Tamers[edit]
The title is awarded to those who rank the highest in the D-1 card tournament. Makino Ruki is frequently called the Digimon Queen.
Digimon Xros Wars[edit]
Shoutmon aspires to be the Digimon King in order to protect his village. It is currently unknown exactly what the title entails, however, it requires collecting all the Code Crowns. Aonuma Kiriha also wishes to obtain the title, showing that a human being can also become the Digimon King.
During his Final Xros into Shoutmon X7: Superior Mode in "Glorious DigiXros, Seize It! Our Future!!", Shoutmon proclaims himself "the future Digimon King".
Digimon Xros Wars: The Young Hunters Who Leapt Through Time[edit]
After the end of Digimon Xros Wars, Shoutmon became the Digimon King, a title he keeps during the entirety of this series. Both Gumdramon and Pinochimon respect him as their King.
Digimon Adventure:[edit]
Etemon and Volcamon competed with each other for the position of the King of Digimon in "Clash, the King of Digimon". During their fight against Ponchomon, Tachikawa Mimi suggested the title should go to Ponchomon instead.

Digimon Xros Wars[edit]
Shoutmon aspires to be the Digimon King to change the Digital World and bring new energy to it. It is currently unknown exactly what the title entails, however, it requires collecting all the Code Crowns. Aonuma Kiriha also wishes to obtain the title, but unlike the anime, he wishes to give it to Greymon.

Digimon Story[edit]
Tamer King is the highest rank a Tamer can achieve. The Player is the first to achieve this rank after defeating Chronomon Destroy Mode.
Digimon All-Star Rumble[edit]
In Shoutmon's story he enters the Digital Monster Evolution Tournament in an attempt to become the Digimon King. In Impmon's story and Dorulumon's story, Shoutmon is already the Digimon King and is considered as one of the Legendary Digimon who once saved the world, becoming target of the evil virus.
