Digimon World[edit]

Elecmon appears as an obtainable Child-level Vaccine type Digimon in Digimon World.

An NPC Elecmon is found at the north-west of Gear Savannah, pacing around a tree. If the Player talks to Elecmon, it will electrocute the Player's Digimon, and if the Player keeps talking to it, it will keep electrocuting the Digimon for a total of 3 times, each shock doing more damage than the other. After that Elecmon says that it was testing the Player and Digimon's braveness and will join the city. Elecmon doesn't really do anything after being recruited other than stacking up Prosperity Points and installing up recesseds in the main square of the City and illuminating it at night, serving as a mere decoration purpose.

Tunomon evolves into Elecmon after 24 in-game hours have elapsed only if its HP, Offense and Speed stats are higher as opposed to Penmon's MP, Defense and Brains stat requirements. Elecmon can also evolve into 7 different types of Digimon depending on the stats and Care Mistakes made:

  • Leomon
  • Angemon
  • Cockatrimon
  • Bakemon (Elecmon can evolve into Bakemon by either naturally or via Death Evolution. When it fights against another Digimon and loses a heart. This has a random 10% chance of happening, so it's recommended to save before trying it).
  • Numemon (When you do not meet requirements for any other evolutions and at least 4 days have elapsed).
  • Scumon (When its Poop meter is full).
  • Nanimon (When you scold it, and it has zero happiness and discipline gauge).

Finishing Technique – Sparkling Thunder:

Once the enemy is near contact with Elecmon, it will release sparks and electrocute the enemy.

Digimon Adventure[edit]

Elecmon first appeared in Episode 17, "Adventure! Patamon and I". After Takaishi Takeru rubbed a Digitama from which a Botamon hatched, Elecmon attacked him and Patamon, arguing that their coddling could also be bullying.

Elecmon is the fifteenth obligatory boss of the game, fighting Patamon in Episode 17, "Adventure! Patamon and I". He can deal damage to one party Digimon with Thunder Knife and damage and Shock with Sparkling Thunder. Upon being defeated, he drops the Fast Growth DigiPiece, which doubles the EXP gain of the Digimon it is equipped to.

After being defeated, Elecmon acknowledged he misjudged Takeru and Patamon and welcomed them to the Village of Beginnings. Takeru then asked him if he knew how to get back to Infinity Mountain, though Elecmon recommended him not to, as Devimon was there. However, Takeru had to get to him to learn where Ishida Yamato and the rest were. Elecmon told him Devimon would not answer his questions, he'd have to fight him, which Takeru did not want to as he hated fights. Instead, he felt that something would happen if they joined their hearts together. This led Elecmon to go to the Pyocomon village in Gear Savannah, as he thought that, if their hearts united, then File Island would do the same.

Elecmon reappears in Sub-Episode 7, "Where are the Digimon?", which happens after Episode 17. There, he worriedly tells Takeru and Patamon that the Baby Digimon of the Village of Beginnings: Botamon, Punimon and Yuramon, had been kidnapped. Takeru, Yamato and Yagami Taichi then decide to help him search for them. After they found the babies, Elecmon wondered why they went away from the Village of Beginnings if they were safe and not kidnapped. Returning to the Village of Beginnings, Elecmon asked the babies why they left, and they answered that they left because they were practicing a song in secret to thank Elecmon for taking care of them, which was enough to get Elecmon crying. Elecmon then thanked the Chosen Children for their help and gave them a Skill Release DigiPiece, which gives the equipped Digimon the technique of the same name which undoes Skill Seal in one ally. He then told them they could come back to the Village of Beginnings whenever they wanted.

Leomon, Mojyamon, Yukidarumon, Meramon and Elecmon offered to help the Chosen Children reach Server Continent in Episode 19, "Departure – to a New Continent!". After crossing the bridge made by Centalmon, they met Elecmon once again, who was trying to fish but was out of bait. The Chosen Children found said bait, namely the DigiEarthworms Mojyamon had gotten as food without knowing humans didn't eat them, and gave it to him, which he used to fish for a DigiCarp.

An Elecmon serves as the third and fight for the Chosen Children in the Colosseum's DigiOne Grand Prix in Sub-Episode 10, "DigiOne Grand Prix", alongside a Meramon and a Yukidarumon. It can use the same attacks as the previous Elecmon.
