Digimon Adventure[edit]

In "Vamdemon, the Castle of Darkness", a Nanimon is a member of Vamdemon's army who runs a boot camp for new recruits in Vamdemon's castle. He is bossy and uses harsh training tactics on his recruits, but is extremely lazy himself.

When Agumon and Palmon infiltrate the castle, a Scumon who had once served in the same army unit as Nanimon suggests that they exploit Nanimon's weakness for sake to stop the training. One of the Numemon in the boot camp sneaks away and distracts Nanimon with many bottles of sake, and he gets drunk on them to the point of passing out, allowing Agumon and Palmon to slip away and let the Chosen Children and other partner Digimon into the castle.

When the Chosen Children are pursuing Vamdemon at the gate to the Real World, Pico Devimon commands Nanimon and his trainees to stop the Chosen Children, but everyone deserts Nanimon as soon as the partner Digimon evolve to the Adult level since none of them had any loyalty to him. Nanimon himself quickly surrenders and abandons Pico Devimon.

Digimon Frontier[edit]

Digimon Xros Wars: The Young Hunters Who Leapt Through Time[edit]

In "The Honor Student is Being Targeted! Blossomon's Smile", a Nanimon is part of Tobari Ren's extensive collection of hunted Digimon.

Digimon Adventure:[edit]

When the Chosen Children are separated in "The Children's Fight for Survival", Kido Joe and Gomamon are sent to hot springs. While they are bathing, a Nanimon suddenly appears in front of them in the spring, and they feel so awkward and unnerved that they cannot leave the spring. By "Escape the Burning Jungle", many more Nanimons have joined Joe, Gomamon, and the first Nanimon, keeping the former two trapped in the spring. In "Soaring Hope", all of these Nanimons are still bathing in the springs while a Blossomon attacks Joe and Gomamon. By "The Blazing Blue Friendship", Joe and Gomamon have escaped the Nanimon and Blossomon.

In "Clash, the King of Digimon", a group of Nanimon, alongside a group of Gazimon, followed Etemon and Volcamon as they clashed to be the King of Digimon, switching sides between both with ease. The Gazimon also dressed up as Etemon.

The hot springs Nanimon, alongside Blossomon, reappeared in "The Geko Hot Springs' Revolt". They were kicked out of the hot springs by Tonosama Gekomon and his servants, and then froze under the snow. They were saved by Joe, Takaishi Takeru, Patamon, Yagami Hikari, Tailmon, Yagami Taichi and Agumon. They then joined Joe in his plan to create a fake hot springs to bait Tonosama Gekomon and beat him, with one taking Gomamon's place in Tonosama Gekomon's hands.

After Tonosama Gekomon was defeated, the Nanimon bathed in the newly-open and free hot springs.

The Nanimon, alongside the rest of the hot springs Digimon, reappeared in "Vikemon Ventures the Glaciers". After their hot springs went dry, Joe decided to lead them to a new, warm place as described by Kabukimon. However, they instead ended up going through an extremely cold, snowy area, and would've died there had Tachikawa Mimi and the Digimon of Babamon's school not appeared to save them with their Blimpmon. Said Blimpmon was then attacked by Olegmon and his pirate crew, who wanted to take their food.

A Nanimon was one of the Digimon that lost their home to Millenniumon's rampage. Alongside an Elecmon, a Kamemon and a Karatuki Numemon, it tried to convince Leomon and Taichi to stop pushing El Doradimon to Cloud Continent in "A Place to Return To", as it was dangerous and impossible for Takeru, a small child, to do so. However, it then joined Takeru and the rest in doing so.

Olegmon and his crew of Hangyomon and Gawappamon, alongside the Babamon Digimon School students Bancho Mamemon, several Tanemon and Lalamon, and Joe's servants and friends Tonosama Gekomon, Kabukimon, Blossomon, Nanimon, Gekomon and Dondokomon, reacted to the attack of a group of Soundbirdmon in "The Angels' Determination"

After Negamon was finally defeated in "The End of the Adventure", Olegmon and Tonosama Gekomon drank with each other on a ship as Kabukimon, Dondokomon, a Hangyomon and a Gawappamon partied, with a Gekomon, two Nanimon and Blossomon being with them as well.

Digital Monster Ver. S[edit]

Digimon World[edit]

Nanimon appears as an obtainable Adult-level Virus type Digimon in Digimon World. All 9 Child Digimon in the game can evolve into Nanimon when they are scolded and their Happiness and Discipline Gauges are empty. An easy way to achieve this evolution is to enter a battle with a weak enemy, like a Modoki Betamon or a Dokunemon, then instantly run away. This slightly lowers both Happiness and Discipline of the Digimon.

Nanimon's Evolution Item is the Sunglasses, which let any Child Digimon evolve into Nanimon.

Nanimon can also be found in five different locations in the game: Orgemon's room in the Ogre Fortress after defeating him and his gang for the first time, Leomon's Ancestral Cave after giving the Saber Leomon statue to Leomon and defeating Orgemon in the Drill Tunnel for the third time, Factorial Town's Sewers after defeating and recruiting Giromon, Andromon and Numemon, Toy Mansion after defeating Waru Monzaemon, and Speedy Time Zone in the Ancient Dino Region after defeating Insekimon and recruiting Tyranomon, and will give the Player a keychain to increase his inventory size, being able to stack up 20 more items when witnessing him for the first time. After the fifth discovery of this Digimon, it will drop another keychain that can store 30 items and will join the city. Most Digimon do not know which part of the city it joined, but if you look carefully inside Village of Beginnings's Item Bank, you will see that he is hidden behind Agumon's counter in a corner, however it's physically impossible to interact with it as there is no way to reach to it.

Nanimon has 3 possible evolutions depending on the stats and Care Mistakes made:

  • Digitamamon
  • Scumon (When its Poop Gauge is full).
  • Vademon (When you scold it when its age reaches 15 days old, though this has a 50% chance of happening).

Finishing Technique - Unchi:

Nanimon poops in the ground, then kicks it to the enemy, hitting them.

Digimon World: Digital Card Arena[edit]

Nanimon appears at random locations in the game after the credits roll. However, for his first ten encounters, he follows a fixed pattern: Junk CitySteep RoadDeserted IslandDark CityInfinity Tower → Deserted Island → Steep Road → Junk City → Dark City → Infinity Tower. Afterwards, he can appear at any of those places randomly.

When the player first meets Nanimon, he tells him that he's travelled through time and space and challenges them to a battle, being very insistent about it. Nanimon uses the "Nanimon?" deck, a Yellow/Rare deck full of funny looking Digimon. Upon being beaten, he tells the player that he'll get revenge and will be waiting for him in a city when he least expects it. He'll give the player an S-Option Pack after every battle until the 10th, after which it becomes random if he does or not. After the fifth win, he also gives the player Digi-Part 045: Attack Power is Doubled. After beating him for the tenth time, the player will get the Grand Sevens card and a Nanimon card.

Nanimon is also an obtainable Adult-level Yellow/Rare card whose stats are:

  • HP: 790
  • DP: 30
  • +P: 0
  • Circle attack: 390
  • Triangle attack: 270
  • X attack: 0, X counter
  • Support Ability: Return all cards in hand to Online Deck and shuffle.

Digimon Adventure[edit]

In Episode 31, "Vamdemon, the Castle of Darkness", before Agumon and Palmon attempted to sneak into Vamdemon Castle, Pico Devimon complained about Nanimon's students (a group of Numemon and Vegimon, as well as a Scumon and a Tyumon), though the latter made it clear that he could make them into proper soldiers, and Pico Devimon left the matter in his hands. Agumon and Palmon then arrived and asked him if they could join them, and Nanimon accepted them as they looked stronger than the Digimon it was training. Nanimon made the Partner Digimon join his training regiment, which left them with no chance to sneak the Chosen Children in. Scumon, who overheard them, then told them that he had been in a unit with Nanimon in the past, and that he was useless in combat back then because he kept getting drunk. Agumon saw this as their chance to get rid of Nanimon, though Palmon was confused about it.

Later, as the Chosen Children invaded the castle, Vamdemon proclaimed to his servants (which included Tailmon, Pico Devimon and Nanimon) that it was time to depart to kill the eighth Chosen Child. With the chant "Tlon, Uqbar, Orbis Tertius!", Vamdemon opened a gigantic gate through which they attempted to leave. However, before they could, the Chosen Children arrived. Vamdemon did not care, however, as they were too late. He refused to stay and ordered Pico Devimon to take care of the Chosen Children, and he then passed the order to Nanimon, who fought the Chosen Children alongside a Scumon, a Tyumon and a Vegimon.

Nanimon is the thirty-seventh obligatory boss of the game, fighting the Chosen Children in Episode 31, "Vamdemon, the Castle of Darkness". Unlike other boss fights, he fights not alone but alongside a Scumon & Tyumon and a Vegimon, and a comical song plays instead of the usual boss battle song. He can deal multiple hits to the whole party with Oyaji Punch and deal multiple hits and Skill Seal to the whole party with Unchi Dunk. Upon being defeated, he drops an HP Boost I DigiPiece and a Sticky Sap.

They were all easily defeated, and afterwards Nanimon surrendered. He excused himself in saying that retreating is winning in its own way, then ran away alongside his students, leaving Pico Devimon to face the Chosen Children and their Adult-level Partners alone.
